Supervisor, Value Stream

**Position Summary**:
Leads a team of approximately 80 production workers within assembly, welding, and fabrication operations. Leads the implementation of corrective and contation actions to ensure proper, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale are consistent with production, regulatory, and the certifications required.

Leader and resposable of the Area KPIs of Safety, 5S, SDWT events, Ideas System, Visual Fabric, as well as leader and responsible of the planing execution and implementation of Problem Solving Projects with A3 methodology, Cost reduction Projects, Green Projects, Kaizen and Jidoka Projects in its area. Responsible of mantaing and monitoring systems and tools such as Line Balancing, AMEF, Autonomus Maintenance, Kan-Ban, Fixtures and Pock-Yokes, 3NO System.

Leads the daily activities of a team of Pressure Welders, CNC Operators and Assemblers to meet aggressive production specifications and schedules; volume, cost/scrap targets; and quality standards. Monitors volume and quality of output and adjusts tasks, timing, equipment set
- up, or inputs so that oroduction specifications are met and resources are used efficiently. Supervise staff to ensure that all production tasks are performed, and all machines and equipment operated, safely.

**Duties**:

- Plans and managers department activities execution.
- Provides a safe work environment generating and implementing Preventive Actions.
- Responsible of maintaining above the target the productivity levels.
- Provides training and development opportunities to employees while continuing self-development.
- Communicates and develops interpersonal and cross-functional relationships.
- Leads, generate and Implement activities to ensure the quality and continuous improvement culture.
- Manages human resources throughout the employee life cycle.
- Administers company policies, work rules, collective bargaining agreement, and procedures and addresses issues.
- Makes significant continuous improvement daily activities to achieve the operational excellence:

- Daily exposure and explanation of the operational metrics of its area to the management team.
- Responsible of the generation and Implementation of Improvement Ideas and Safety STOP Observation cards.
- Implement corrective actions for the Operational Defects detected due to operational issues.
- Continusly improvement of the 5S in the area of responsibility.
- Responsible for followup and monitoring the production flow and delivery metrics.
- Responsible of balancing the lines of production acording to the demand.
- Responsible of Hiring and terminating personnel as needed.
- Responsible of the administration of absentism, delays and replenishment of personnel.
- Maintains optimum productivity levels, and balance his manpower
- Manages Scrap and Rework for his departments.
- Manages Cost Reductions Projects for his departments.
- Responsible for On Time Delivery and assure to deliver manufactured parts to his customers on time

**Education Degree**:
**Required Experience**:

- (8 to 10) years experience in combined welding, assembly operations and/or CNC machining and sheet metal operations synchronized as a value stream operations line - heavy manufacturing.
- (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of, 5S, Jidoka, SMED, Poka-Yoke, One Piece Flow, Lean Principles and Mudas.
- Knowledge of, 5S, Jidoka, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Ishikawa, 5W1H, One Piece Flow, Lean Principles and Mudas.
- Knowledge on Methodologies for problem solving, A3, Ishikawua, 5W1H, DOE.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge related to area of responsibility, Control, Pnewmatics, Instrumentation.
- Experience with ISO, FDA, GMP, ASME. STPS/OSHA, or other similar regulatory or standards organizations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, team-building, coaching, and decision making skills.
- Effective interpersonal and influence management skills to interact with cross-functional team members.
- Thorough understanding of material management and quality systems.
- Must be able to read, write in English
- Usage of Microsoft Office, Word, Excell, Powepoint, Outlook, MRP.
