We are looking to hire a Supplier Development Engineer (SDE) to join our team at Monterrey.

**Responsibilities**:

- The Supplier Development Engineer is responsible for performing supplier related activities surrounding supplier assessment, APQP, problem solving, process and component developments. They will fulfill the requirements of internal and external customers, all while adhering to global quality objectives and corporate standards.
- Understand and comply with Automotive Quality requirements.
- Supplier assessment through VDA6.3 for new supplier approval process and supporting the Corporate SDE function as needed.
- Lead supplier program launches as a Program SDE using established ZF APQP process, Supplier Readiness activities and coordinating with other SDEs.
- Represent SDE group in technical reviews before new component sourcing. - Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process.
- Lead supplier development program for continuous improvement of focus suppliers.
- Perform activities in coordination with other departments and effectively respond and communicate in a timely manner while developing and maintaining productive working relationships.
- Initiate, complete and ensure proper conformity of engineering changes to quality standards under development phase in the supplier readiness process.
- Trigger additional escalation levels as needed in order to protect internal and external customers
- Provide support to Cat 0 activities by representing SDE group while attending weekly meetings.
- Assist in the management and maintenance of external supplier KPI's relevant to product quality and durability.
- Effectively develop suppliers using core quality tools as it relates to Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and Control Charts.
- Effectively lead and participate in all activities related to customer and internal complaints during Supplier Readiness Execution, utilizing all problem-solving tools as it relates to 8D methodologies.
- Conduct and Lead Supplier Audits as it relates to pre sourcing, IATF, VDA, AIAG, and ZF specific audits.
- Effectively interpret and communicate manufacturing and technical specifications

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3 years minimum of professional experience in Quality, Process Engineering, Project Management
- Experience in leading VDA6.3 audit
- Proven ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, and procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
- English language competency - both written and oral
- Requires 30 - 50% travel.
- Experienced in Supplier Readiness
- Working knowledge of SupplyON is preferred
- Advanced Product Quality Planning and PPAP
- ASQ CQE preferred
- Experienced 8D problem solving
- Experienced PFMEA and Control Plans
- Experienced Reverse FMEA
- Experienced Statistical Process Control Methodologies
- Experienced GD&T and MSA
- Experienced in Process Based Management
- Experienced in Project Management
- Lead Auditor IATF/VDA Suppler
- Knowledge in Aluminum HPDC process is preferred
- Knowledge in Plastic Injection molding processes is preferred
