General Purpose of Position:
Responsible to manage Common Engineering Laboratories and site support functions and footprint/site facilities operation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage and drive Operational Excellence to Common Engineering laboratories and support functions across BUs located at Mexico Technical Center: Prototype Build, Dimensional Lab, Tool Room, Material Analysis Lab, EHS, Indirect Procurement & Shipping/Receiving functions (Customs, Logistics and ELP Cross-Dock).
- Manage the shipping/receiving dock including working with the El Paso crossdock and customs support.
- Overall responsibility for local processes to ensure the compliance with the systems requirements such: IATF 16949 and Customer Specific Requirements (QMS), ISO 45001(OHS), ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 27001 (ISMS) and VDA 6.0.
- Overall responsibility for corporate, and local legal compliance for footprint/site facilities (operating licenses & permits).
- Drive strong focus on Environmental Health & Safety and support Corporate Sustainability initiatives.
- Coordinate with site-building infrastructure services form Landlord such as security premises, housekeeping & facilities maintenance under leasing contract terms and conditions.
- Coordinate as require corporate functions (IT, Finance, Purchasing, etc.) operational deliverables for the site to function.
- Floor space building infrastructure adequations in coordination/approval with campus/premises’ Landlord.
- Manage Technology Roadmap & Capex expenses and forecast for Common Engineering Laboratories.
- Manage Site Common Labs/Services Budget -including cost reduction/efficiency initiatives.
- Manage local Laboratory Services Agreement between Aptiv-BorgWarner
- Drive, complete and maintain HR Processes (Complete PBPs on time, P&S, integration mandatory training, etc.) for managed groups.
- Support continuous improvement activities
- Accept other job responsibilities as needed

Skills and Abilities:

- High level of analytical ability
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
- High level of oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge on risk assessment analysis
- Knowledge of Problem-Solving Tools
- Ability to prioritize work
- PC literate (MS Office)
- English and Spanish language proficiency preferred

Education and/or training:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Problem Solving Techniques Certification and/or master’s degree
- Competence on QMS/EHS standard requirements: IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and VDA 6.3.
