**RAW MATERIAL SOURCING COORDINATOR**

We are looking for a Raw Material Sourcing Specialist to lead the development of new fashion products, through a cross-functional process: design concept, exploration and/or development of innovative materials in collaboration with local and foreign suppliers that comply with the organization’s sustainability guidelines, tech pack development, sampling, quality assurance, costing, gross margin management, and factory visits to ensure the finished designs meet the technical requirements to undergo manufacturing at scale.
This is a unique opportunity for an organized, creative, passionate, and enthusiastic someone to be involved in a fast-growing apparel and accessory brand that seeks to break the poverty cycle of thousands of artisans while creating the most functional and cool travel products.

**What You Will Do (Sourcing)**:

- Help lead the raw material sourcing
- Continue to build out and execute on raw material sourcing strategy
- Build out and manage a strong raw material supplier network within and outside Mexico
- Fabric and product development
- Knowledge of tech pack development
- Support costing process
- Support gross margin targets and improve each season
- Support budget management
- Support Time & Action Calendar management
- KPI measurement of materials used in products
- Partner with cross functional teams from product design concepts to commercialization of product
- Support innovative processes and procedures for higher quality product, improved gross margin, and increased artisan technique integration

**Who You Are**:

- Experience in the têxtile sourcing and knowledge with international trade Incoterms
- Excellent at communication and attention to detail
- Strong raw material supplier network within and outside of Mexico
- Knowledge of the clothing industry inside and outside of Mexico, knowledge of fashion and industry trends
- Experience in fashion product development from design concept to commercialization of product
- Bachelor’s degree in raw material sourcing, product development, production, fashion management, manufacturing preferred.
- 5-10 years of related experience
- Ability to integrate best practices, processes, and structure when resolving issues between SS and customs broker.
- Bilingual: English (90%) Spanish (100%)
- PLUS: Experience and passion for sustainable and eco-friendly raw material sourcing and development
- PLUS: Experience working with customs agents
