Finance Coordinator

Overview

The Finance Manager is responsible for SOX/ Internal Controls, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This position is a business partner to plant management and provides support to the local plant management team.

Activities:
Oversees the general accounting function and general ledgers

Ensures transactions have been recorded in an accurate, consistent and timely manner

Develops and implements consistent policies, procedures, accounting principles, best practices and reporting requirements throughout the accounting organization

Directs accounting functions and interacts with Regional/Division teams as necessary

Delivers month end closing and financial reporting

Safeguards company assets, ensures critical financial processes are sustained in order to provide accurate and timely Financial Statements

Confirms accounting teams are maintaining necessary supporting documents and schedules for all general ledger accounts and reconciling items are resolved in a timely manner

Prepares and reports plant weekly/monthly results

Utilizes financial data to proactively identify areas for improvement

Provides financial review of capital expenditure requests and spend

Responsible for ensuring that internal controls are in place according to corporate requirements

Ensures compliance to all relevant the Company accounting policies

Completes requests and analysis required by external and internal auditors

Timely remediation of SOX and Internal Audit findings

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to work in fast paced results-oriented environment

Understand and effectively implement accounting guidance, company policies

Strong analytical skills

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Proven leadership experience

Must enjoy and be able to drive change

Strong interpersonal skills to use influence to affect change and drive internal controls

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
