**The Role**:
We are seeking an **Chief Engineer** to join our team. We are entrepreneurial, fast
- moving, and motivated by a desire to change the way that energy and electricity are delivered around the world. We are looking for a motivated, highly experienced individual with shared beliefs and passion to come and help drive the journey.

**What You Will Do**:

- Understands procedures and is able to receive and pump all fluids and assist with any internal and external fluid transfers
- Adhere to and comply with the company policies and environmental regulations
- Works a rotation watch involving 12 hours in a 24-hour period with occasional hours not to exceed 14 consecutive hours
- Participates in safety and rescue drills for emergency situations
- Provides and/or assist with training
- Lubricates deck machinery and equipment
- Knowledgeable of all the vessels machinery, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance
- Performs any duty that may be required from Chief Engineer or Master
- Ensures cleanliness of the engine room, bilges, rudder room, and void spaces, maintains engine room watch when underway, examines machinery for specified pressures and flow of lubricants, oils and greases moving parts
- Responsible for imparting knowledge about the specific features, characteristics, and procedures of the vessel operations to crew members and the orientation of all new personnel aboard the vessel
- Responsible for ongoing safety programs aboard the vessel, emergency drills and emphasizing the use of PPE and Stop Work Authority
- Ensures that he/she is capable of navigating through and communicating the requirements and contents of the safety management system to company representatives, regulatory personnel, and vessel crewmembers
- Maintain a valid license with STCW endorsements
- Report any shortcomings, inaccuracies, or conflicts in any portion of the SMS to the Master
