- ZF is looking for a VAVE Engineer for our location in Monterrey_

**Job description**:

- Technical position in Purchasing organization responsible for bringing savings to the Business
- Generate, evaluate and implement cost reduction ideas for launches (VE) and post-SOP (VA)
- Total Product Cost reduction through design changes, process changes, packaging/logistics changes, resourcing activities

**Job duties**:

- Generate cost savings ideas through various activities: e.g supplier/in house workshops, benchmarking activities
- Assess ideas feasibility with X-functional team from a technical and financial prospective on a global basis, prepare presentation to support Business decision and get Management approval
- Track closely the detailed status of ideas implementation (test release, supplier PPAP, customer release), resolve issues to keep timing on track and escalate on a timely manner roadblock that cannot be solved at the project team level
- Generate reports to Management varying from direct manager to Senior VP
- Monitor closely savings forecast towards target and propose reaction plan if gap exists. Ability to see and react to “long term goals”
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong personal and communication skills, with ability to deal with various stakeholders (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, suppliers, )
- Good English skills required in international environment (EU, AP, NA)
- Global thinking, solid organizational skills including attention to details
- Ideally technical background with business acumen
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with suppliers and/or customers is appreciated
- Project Management skills are appreciated
- Results oriented
- Minimum 3-4 years experience ideally
