TE Connectivity's Purchasing Teams are responsible for obtaining materials, components, equipment and services, gather quotations, examine bids, and award contracts. They perform cost analysis and volume planning for commodities, evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where required. They coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels and monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. They also look for and recommend cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria as well as develop specifications for new contract orders.

This position reports to the Tactical Purchasing Manager who reports to the Sr Manager Indirect Procurement Mexico, then to the Director of Americas Indirect Procurement.

In general, it is expected this position review Purchase requisitions in SAP for policy compliance, releases it and follow all the process up to Purchase Order generation in a timing no more than 2.5 days in total. Keep close communication with the Sourcing team, review Past Due Report on a weekly basis and make sure suppliers deliver on time.

Under this position the buyer will also provide support to accounts payable when invoices are blocked, or the supplier is not answering accounts payable communication.

Responsible for meeting and desirable exceeding expectations regarding the Indirect Procurement metrics, including but not limited to productivity, quality, delivery, consolidation of suppliers and driving the spend with TE´s preferred and strategic suppliers.

**What your background should look like**:

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Specific minimum competencies required for job performance.
- 2 year sof experience in purchasing for indirect material electronics, aerospace and/or automotive industries. Organized, results oriented and able to work under stress.
- At least 80% of English written and spoken.
- Minimum Qualifications: Minimum level of education and experience required to perform the job.
- College degree in Administration, IE / Ing. Industrial, International Business.
- SAP desirable.
