Collections Specialist

Job Description:
**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely rent payments.
- Contact tenants to follow up on overdue payments and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with tenants regarding outstanding balances and payment options.
- Provide clear explanations of late fees, policies, and procedures related to rent collections.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tenant accounts, payment arrangements, and communications.
- Prepare and send notices for late payments or potential eviction proceedings.
- Address tenant inquiries and concerns related to billing and collections professionally and promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to resolve tenant issues and concerns.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Collections Specialist or similar role
- 1-2 years of experience in property management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively and maintain positive tenant relations
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining accurate and organized records
- Understanding of relevant local and state laws governing collections and eviction processes
