**Bid Manager**

**This is an onsite position in Polanco, Mexico City.**

Thales is looking for a **Bid Manager** who is primarily responsible for preparing and deliver offers (Bids) in accordance with customer requirements, company strategy/policies, and on time, as well as manage and coordinate internal (bid team) and external (partners, subcontractors, customer) teams in collaboration with the supervisory authorities of the corresponding entities to ensure the submission of each bid.

In this position, you will also be responsible for leading the activities required to develop and deliver a Bid with a full satisfaction of different stakeholders (Management, Bid Team and Client), ensuring that the entire life cycle of a BID is fulfilled as well as contribute in the negotiations with the customer, from opportunity development to closing phase, ensuring that the needs of the customer were correctly covered.

**Key Areas of Responsibility**
- Coordinate technical teams in charge of the solution to be offered.
- Manage the Bid Cost of each Bid (including the creation of corresponding cost center, tracking and updating it if necessary).
- Ensure that the bids comply with the corresponding tailoring and internal process.
- Ensure that the bid is in compliance with all milestones of the process according to the selected tailoring (BID life cycle).
- Act as Project Manager: propose the Bid Plan, based on the commitments established with the Bid Team (coordinating the interaction of the different areas and ensuring on time deliverables).
- Ensure that the preparation of the bid is based on a viable solution and project structure in accordance with customer requirements and Thales strategy/policies.
- Prepare and validate the bid with the contribution of the different members of the Bid Team, managing the risks and opportunities of the future project to be implemented.
- Manage Project deliverables (key milestones for delivery and acceptance), consolidate costs and validate the total project baseline.
- Work collaboratively with the Project Manager to perform an adequate transfer of information from BID to Project (Hand Over Review).
- Analyze/Manage bid costs to obtain the most viable proposal in terms of the proposed commercial strategy promoting competitiveness (challenge the parties involved).
- Contribute to decision making on the economic feasibility of the offer and financial viability.
- Integrate, together with the “Bid Controller” and “Capture Leader”, the proposal for the customer and ensure that it complies with what has been requested and with the provisions of the applicable rules, regulations and laws.
- Ensure the successful transition to the project area and contribute in the preparation, organization and validation of the "Project Launch" activity.
- Ensures Bid closure (archiving documents, ensuring closure of costs and expenses, bid cost and cost center) and capitalizing and sharing the lessons learned in the bid.
- Periodically reports the status of the bids.
- Participate in the analysis of KPIs and contribute to improve the results.

**Minimum Requirements**
- At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in similar position.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, MBA or related field.
- Advanced English proficiency. (French would be desirable)
- Project Management experience.
- Experience in financial projects evaluation.
- Experience with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, SAP would be desirable.
- Resilient, with strong capabilities to work in high pressure environments and situations.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Results oriented.
