We are seeking a skilled and experienced Splunk Administrator to join our team. As a Splunk Administrator, you will be responsible for the efficient administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Splunk platform. Your expertise in Splunk will help us leverage the full potential of this powerful tool for log management, monitoring, and data analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain Splunk infrastructure components, including Splunk Enterprise, Universal Forwarders, and Splunk Apps.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Splunk performance, availability, and scalability issues to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Develop and implement Splunk deployment strategies, including indexing, search heads, and distributed architecture, to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze log data requirements, creating efficient data ingestion pipelines and data retention policies.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions within Splunk, ensuring appropriate data access controls and compliance with security policies.
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, visualizations, and reports to meet the needs of various stakeholders.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security, proactively addressing issues and implementing necessary updates or patches.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to integrate Splunk with other systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and enhancing overall security posture.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Splunk features, best practices, and industry trends, proactively recommending improvements and enhancements to optimize Splunk functionality.
- Provide training and support to end-users, promoting self-service capabilities and empowering them to effectively utilize Splunk for log analysis and troubleshooting.

- Strong knowledge of Splunk architecture, components, and data ingestion mechanisms (e.g., forwarders, indexers, search heads).
- Knowledge of AWS setup and administration via AWS REST endpoints, SDK or CLI
- Knowledge of scripting with Python, PERL and also shell scripting
