**JOB TITLE**:Collections Assistant

**DEPARTMENT**:Accounts Receivable - Finance

**MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB**:
Collection of issuer rating fees and expenses for the 9Fitch entities based in LATAM; with some assistance collecting other Fitch products.
To maximise cash collection for the region and ensure payments are received as quickly as possible.
To be the first point of contact for queries relating to invoices and payments, both internally and externally for the region.
To assist with cash allocation and provide some regional Accounts Receivable month end reporting to management.

**MANAGER’S VIEW OF THE ROLE**:
This is a multi-million-dollar ledger requiring a methodical individual with an eye for detail who is driven by maximising the collection of cash.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Detailed collection notes on the status of each invoice will be made. Liaising with the other members of the Finance team and the Business to ensure client queries are resolved in a timely manner.
- Completion and collection of withholding tax documentation.
- Attend regular meetings with the rest of the team to keep their manager informed of any collection issues that arise and provide regular collection updates.
- Cash allocation assistance.
- Assistance with some month end reporting on debtors.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as requested.

**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Spanish speaking.
- Good Excel skills and aptitude with other software packages.
- Advanced English skills.
- Previous experience with SAP accounting package is an advantage.
- Previous experience within an Accounts Receivable Department is essential, preferably with experience of the LATAM region.
- Previous experience of having worked in a SOX Compliant company would be an advantage.
- Flexible approach to tasks is essential.
- Must be able to work as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to prioritise own workload.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
