**QUALITY ENGINEER**

**WHAT TO EXPECT**

As an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded, and well-rounded individuals to join our global team. Located in our Plant, you will be Quality Engineer. You must:

- Ensure that the customer's specific requirements are met.
- Participate in the reduction of the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
- Create and follow up the action that comes from internal, external or customer audits.
- Ensure that preventive and corrective actions are implemented and seek continuous improvement of the manufacturing area.

**Key responsibilities (to name a few)**:

- Lead the area staff in the problems solving methodology to handle any customer complaint.
- Manage the Cost of inferior quality and other metrics in the manufacturing area.
- Manager the group of quality auditors to ensure the correct product sampling as part of the quality audit inspection.
- Participate in the cross functional team for any APQP activity.
- Manage and contain any non-conforming product on the floor.
- Lead the Layer Process Audit process.
- In charge of performing the Measuring System Analysis (MSA) for the measuring equipment that is used on the production floor.
- In charge of supplier development and incoming inspection activities

**PAY & BENEFITS (to name a few)**
- Saving Incentive: 13% of the base salary paid monthly.
- Profit Sharing - According with local laws and Gates policy.
- Meal Allowance $3,547.00 MXP per month

**ARE YOU DRIVEN BY POSSIBILITY?**

**ABOUT YOU**
- 5 -7 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the metal-mechanic industry or assembly and automotive industry.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electromechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
- Knowledge in: VDA, core tools, ISO&IATF 16949 and GD&T (Certificate desirable)
- English advanced
- Keeps self-control in challenging situations.
- Strong Communication skills
- Problems Solving and decision making.
- Capable of following the escalation process if needed.
- Costumer focus (internal and external)
- Negotiation skills
- Creativity, proactivity, and teamwork.
