Negotiates and Contracts the purchase of raw materials and/or other unprocessed goods, machinery, equipment, tools, parts, other supplies and services necessary for the operation of the Organization. - Executes the Action Messages (Releasing Purchasing Orders, Expediting, Pushing or Canceling) Suggested by the MRP II System - Purchases Products in Mexico, the United States and other Countries. - Reviews requisitions, as well as bids, interviewing vendors to obtain information concerning products and services, prices, guarantees and delivery dates. - Selects purchase items through several evaluation methods (Best Bid, Mejor Postor), formulating detailed RFP’s (Request for Proposals), requesting samples for testing, random sampling incoming materials, Vendor Rating Programs, Vendor Certification, etc. - Keeps records pertaining to items purchased, costs, delivery, product performance and inventory levels. - Maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the Purchasing Function.
Experiência y requisitos
Requirements: - Education Requirements: Associate's Degree - Field of Study: Business Administration or related - Experience Requirements (Years): 3-5 Years - Experience Requirements (Field): In a procurement/supply chain related position, excellent negotiation skills - Familiarity of MRP/ERP systems. - Certifications in APICS, CPM, CPSM is a plus.
