The team at Panametrics, a Baker Hughes business designs and manufactures a range of sensing instrumentation and sensors that are utilized in a vast array of market segments.

As a Technical writer, you will be responsible for:
Under direct supervision responsible for end user documentation and detailed validation of the documentation against the product. Must understand the product and convert knowledge into accessible, accurate and understandable documentation. Characterizes and reports quality assurance data while validating the documentation.

Technical Documentation
- Working with the technology team and product management to develop a thorough understanding of the audience and documentation required. Understands the technical problems, determines a clear and logical way to present information, instructions and content for the greatest comprehension. Can write and edits information accordingly. Common documentation includes but may not be limited to manuals and datasheets.

Marketing Collateral
- Working with marketing, product management and other SME’s to understand customer and industry challenges. Author, co-author, edit, and support content for marketing collateral like brochures, and technical briefs that can be used for lead generation and sales enablement. Be a contributor for thought leadership content like articles, blogs and white papers. Attends conferences, trade shows and educational seminars. Becomes specialized in the pertinent technical information required for documentation and content that addresses industry issues and end user concerns.

Design and Layout
- Having basic understanding of InDesign and PhotoShop to help convey complex information with graphics, images and design. Does not need to be a graphic designer expert but should be able to support mínimal graphic and lay out work. Assist with the design work to make documents look appealing, easy to read and comply with brand guidelines. Use provided templates and standards, colors, fonts and imagery appropriately.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Have 1 year of experience in technical documents development (i.e. technical datasheets, design records, patents, trade secrets)
- Be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
- Have oral and written communication skills

- Have experience working at an agency in a strategy or account planner role
- Have passion for working as a team but more importantly, proactive and self-directing
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude and constant habit of going above and beyond what is required, as well as a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Have experience working with digital systems and programs for remote team collaboration and work flows
- Be able to travel and willingness to work flexible hours
