**POSITION**: HiSET ELA Teacher**DATES**: Day & Evening Positions (Two Positions)**LOCATION**: Merrymeeting Adult Education (Bath location)**CLOSING DATE**: Open Until Filled-
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS***:

- Responsible for running Merrymeeting Adult Education HiSET learning labs, teaching English Language Arts for high school equivalency diploma.
- ELA teaching experience preferred.
- Other duties as assigned.

**REQUIREMENTS***:

- Four-year educational degree with teaching/training experience.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Computer proficiency.
- Proven ability to engage students in a positive classroom experience.
- Proven ability to be organized, understand and implement curriculum and communicate detailed and timely responses to student work.
- Position is not for credit. Maine Department of Education Certification preferred, but not required.
