**You Are**:
UST is looking for a Product Designer. The design team and senior designers will lead the team toward appropriate design solutions, best practices, and patterns that lead us to product success. Defining UX goals and helping other designers to uphold the quality of UX will be a great platform to put your leadership skills to use and rally the team around your ideas.
**The Opportunity**:
- Partner with your Design Manager, Product Managers, and business partners to define and execute the product design roadmap for the team.
- Use your understanding of user experience to guide the team towards better, user-friendly solutions to problems, that help advertisers move to value much faster.
- Mentor and guide other designers on the team with your knowledge of design and design processes.
- Collaborate with business partners and leads on understanding organizational and team goals and guiding them to effective solutions.
- Partner with business and design teams like design systems and visualization to define component libraries that help platforms to scale.
- Define UXD processes for other designers on the team along with design leadership and help inspire others by leading by example.
- Be a great cultural addition to the team and help boost the team spirit across all functions.
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
**What you need**:
- Given a high-level problem, you can deliver concrete end-to-end solutions that help define a product vision.
- Solid leadership skills.
- Strong partnerships with product managers and engineers, likely providing product direction and exerting significant influence in defining goals for your product area.
- Your skill level across product thinking, interaction design, and execution & craft is generally solid across the board, with one or more areas being areas of strength.
- A good grasp of the medium you are designing for, and you make effective use of prototyping tools.
- You may be designing new patterns or introducing new standards in your work that later become adopted by others.
- You succinctly and effectively communicate your work and may be called upon to represent your product team to executive leadership or in design forums.
- You are actively mentoring junior designers or interns, or participating in design-team-wide initiatives (examples include interviewing, mentoring workshops, design standards, improving design tools, etc.)
