**We are looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our Tijuana, BC, Team**

**How You’ll Help Us Connect The World?**:
**Some of the responsibilities will include**:

- Developing sources of supply where vendors and preferred suppliers are inadequate
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers to achieve continuity in supply or safety stock arrangements
- Creating and fostering strategic relationships with the supply base
- Providing accurate pricing and lead time data management related to purchasing order accuracy
- Supervising supplier performance metrics ensuring suppliers are meeting key performance indicators

Works with the site Operations team to ensure that sourcing strategies are aligned with site requirements. Develops both current and future sources of supply in support of the overall supply chain strategy. May take day-to-day work direction from Category Managers. Will help in the supplier selection process and problem-solving risks in supply.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Sources complex direct materials such as electronic components and a variety of other components with suppliers that are capable of meeting the service, quality, and cost requirements.
- Ensures database and system level pricing and lead-times are accurate and in accordance with supplier agreements
- Supports supplier onboarding activities
- Provides guidance and resolution to invoicing discrepancies
- Helps coordinate and manage material issues with collaborators
- Support and/or negotiate favorable payment terms in support of cash flow objectives
- Identifies categories for strategic sourcing agreements and conducts cost/price analysis for all products under their jurisdiction with emphasis on high dollar and sole source situations. Establish negotiation strategies.
- Work to find opportunities for cost reductions in support of annual cost reduction objectives.
- Ensures that all sourcing is based on negotiated competitive bids as submitted by qualified suppliers and in alignment with Should Cost targets (where available).
- Maintains positive working relationships with supplier base and leads the regularly scheduled Business Reviews with suppliers. Continue to analyze and assess the adequacy of our supplier base for each category and to develop additional sources of supply that were deemed advantageous.
- Some travel will be required with this role.
- Processes changes and modifications to component-level purchasing parameters in a timely fashion.
- Produces, maintains and analyzes purchasing reports used to track and make decisions in the procurement process and communicate requirements with suppliers.
- Works effectively with other members of the Category Management team to implement category strategies within the identified supply base.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or a Professional Purchasing Qualification
- A minimum of 5 years of procurement or relevant experience.
- Must have experience in supplier management standard methodologies.
- Successfully demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Proficient in cost/price analysis techniques.
- Bilingual English - Spanish.
