The global responsibilities for this position are set forth below:

- Leadership on Transportation & Logistics processes, including direct communication with forwarders, customs agents, transportation companies, and customer, to establish the best way to transport and import the equipments and materials of the project.
- Direct communication with the customer and Supply Chain Lead to report progress, transportation, or import status.
- Manage and coordinate contracts, purchase and service orders of transportation and logistics providers.
- Direct interaction with seaports and borders entities in Mexico to make the best decision on transportation routes selection.

Accountable for the successful delivery of all materials and logistics activities that they are responsible for, including but not limited to:

- Establish, manage and maintain the warehousing/materials control operation at the designated warehouse/work site/client facility.
- Coordinate the efficient operation of and continuously monitor the efficiency and performance of the warehouse operations, including the utilization of labor.
- Coach and monitor staff in operating processes/procedures and safe working practices including but not limited to new staff inductions and daily toolbox talks.
- Management of the allocation, control, issue and marshalling of materials between different work locations and supplier and the coordination of carriers in accordance with project requirements and schedule/vessel sailings.
- Production of shipping documents for all materials movements.
- Timely updating of procurement system with goods receipts / manifests / shipping documentation.
- Warehouse materials handling e.g. OS&D (Over, Short & Damage) checks, bagging and tagging, preparation for shipping and marshalling/loading of shipments.
- Management of Freight Forwarding and Import / Export and Customs control activities.
- Identification and management of materials shortages and surplus.
- Control of Inventory in accordance with required inventory regime e.g and ensuring accuracy thereof by monitoring of warehouse activity, cycle counts and stock checks.
- Requisitioning and control of small plant and equipment/tooling/consumables.
- Production of Materials Status reporting to project and client.
- Coordinating material supply to and performance/delivery of fabrication items.
- Ensuring maintenance and preservation of materials is undertaken for stored equipment.
- Communication and engagement with Materials Control, Project Controls, and Construction Management personnel to coordinate the project schedule plans.
- 5 years of experience or more working in Transportation & Logistics processes of Equipments & Materials for projects
- Knowlege of Incoterms 2010 or new.
- Experience & Communication skills with Forwarders and Customs Agents at the borders and seaports.
- Knowlege using ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwars or Other)
- Wide knowledge in using Excel.
- Experience in communicating and reporting directly to customers.
- Skills developing comparative pricing tables.
- Leadership and initiative are required.
- Organizational Skills
- Availability in traveling into several states in Mexico.
- Handling of documents (NAFTA, Origin of Certificate, Bill of Landing, Commercial Invoices, and Shipping Documents)
- English at the Business level is Required.
- Skill of problems resolutions
