The Fixed Asset Accountant is responsible for managing and maintaining the fixed asset subledger and supporting the overall financial operations. This role ensures accurate recording of fixed asset transactions, performs account reconciliations, and assists with month-end and year-end closing activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Manage the fixed asset subledger and ensure accurate recording of fixed asset transactions in compliance with US GAAP accounting principles and standards and understand any statutory accounting differences.
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Conduct account reconciliations at a consolidated level, investigate and resolve any discrepancies or variances.
- Collaborate with internal departments to determine the appropriate capitalization of project costs.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to streamline procedures and enhance efficiency.
- Monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.

**Knowledge/Skills Required**:
Technical Competencies

Good command of English, both written and verbal is a prerequisite | Bachelor´s degree required with focus on Finance | Minimum 1 year of experience in accounting | Proven work experience as a GL Accountant or similar role with a knowledge of US based GAAP accounting principles | Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel | Experience with NetSuite is preferred | Solid understanding of financial statements and reporting

**PAY IS 25000-32000 MXP**

Pay: $25,000.00 - $32,000.00 per month
