**OVERVIEW**

Fastenal Mexico is looking to develop and deploy a new Global Sourcing Team, this is a globally focused opportunity which will support the whole of Fastenal Company. We are seeking motivated individuals looking for long-term success.

**RESPONSiBILITIES**

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

- Identifying new suppliers and manufacturers
- Exploring market conditions for a wide variety of products
- Communicating with the branches throughout the world to support global sourcing of high-volume, critical items
- Establishing procurement of products, communicating with vendors, optimizing sourcing strategy
- Integrating collected data into our VRM
- Working closely with our FastCo Asia Team as well as the Global Sourcing Team.
- Conducting inventory and quality analysis in a Just-In-Time environment
- Managing and driving a culture of excellence in customer service and high process-quality
- Daily communication in English

**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**:
The skills and qualifications required for this position include:

- Possess a degree in Business/Marketing OR have equivalent industry experience and knowledge of the local market
- Experience with technical sourcing/supply chain
- Ability to travel throughout Mexico to support new factory opportunities
- Project management skills are welcomed
- Very good knowledge of English is compulsory
- Very good computer skills - especially MS Excel
- Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
- Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
- Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
- Highly focused on customer service
