**Purpose and Scope**

This position is responsible for creating a detailed production schedule using SAP to meet customer demand requirements while minimizing inventory investment and maximizing capacity utilization and productivity. The scheduler must ensure that components are on-hand and available when needed to meet the production schedule.

**Responsibilities**
- Work with corporate supply chain to receive production orders and assign, schedule, maintain, and load the schedules that flow through assigned MRP controllers to meet customer demand.
- Analyze material delivery and move orders in to customer request where possible.
- Follow up on expedites that flow through assigned MRP controllers.
- Work closely with shipping and/or stockroom associates through day to day administration, proper documentation, timeliness, and customer service.
- Address MPS exception messages in SAP.
- Measure and monitor the schedule attainment process. Participates in the daily TMOS meetings.
- Participates in the weekly supply meeting.
- Performs capacity evaluations and leveling.
- Makes recommendations on changes to work center availability, utilization and rates.
- Technically complete production orders and troubleshoot confirmation issues between SAP and shop floor.
- Review excess inventory reports and takes appropriate action.

**Technical/Functional Skills**

Experience with production planning processes in a manufacturing facility.

Strong analytical and computer skills with knowledge of SAP.

Strong knowledge of warehousing processes.

**Education / Experience**
- Preferred - Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or Manufacturing with 3+ years’ experience in Production Planning, SAP or Supply Chain area.
