**Position Summary**:
As a Procurement Coordinator, you'll play a crucial role in managing the acquisition and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for our organization. Your responsibilities include coordinating procurement activities to ensure efficient operations. Here's a breakdown of your essential duties:
**Crucial Job Functions / Responsibilities**:
**Negotiation**:
- Collaborate with the Order Manager to confirm delivery dates from ICO plants.
- Negotiate favorable prices, delivery terms, and shipping arrangements with vendors.
**Procurement**:
- Purchase designated intercompany supplies for KOB3 orders.
- Process vendor returns efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper delivery performance by coordinating with plants.
- Obtain all necessary order documentation from plants (drawings, procedures, certificates, etc.).
**Communication**:
- Coordinate with the order entry team to ensure timely purchasing.
- Collaborate with accounts payable to resolve any invoice disputes.
**Professional Degree Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business/Logistics.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- High level of math and analytical skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- English proficiency at 80% is required.
**Experience Requirements**:
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, materials, inventory management, or warehouse operations, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Plex, and other business software.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with team members, leadership, and vendors.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under mínimal supervision.
**Technical Knowledge Requirements**:
- Procurement and Inventory management.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, castings, additive manufacturing).
- Cost analysis expertise.
- Understanding of logistics and international trade.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP system (Desirable).
