**General Description of the Role**

This position is responsible to manage and implement safety, health, environment and sustainability systems that maximize the benefits and competitive advantages while ensuring the safety and health of workers, compliance with Mexican NOMs, Campari Global and Regional Guidelines, appropriate ISO or relevant international standards and sustainability commitments.

**Mission/Objectives**

The HSE Superintendent mission is to:

- Assure that plant, transportation and office are developed in a safe and responsible manner.
- Manage the environment and sustainability impacts of our operations with the goal of ensuring compliance with regulations and minimizing impact to the environment and natural resources
- Work with company leadership to ensure that our operations are developed accordingly with the government regulations.
- Consistently evaluate the opportunities and risks presented by plant modifications/expansions, potential legislation and other factors and provide strategic advice to company leadership
- Drive a safety culture that is based upon capability building, employee empowerement and engagement, risk assessment and mitigation and continuous improvement.
- Identify and work to implement solutions to reduce GHG emissions(scope 1 and 2) and landfilled waste streams

**Key Responsibilities and Activities**
- Coordinate, support and work closely with all plant departments ensuring that HSE Management is factored into ways of working and future planning
- Coordinate and carry out periodic security inspections.
- Carry out periodic assessments of the security risks of both personnel and facilities.
- Participate in the monitoring and reporting of all local-based energy, water and waste compliance activities.
- Strategically manage capital expense program and develop mid-term capital projects designed to eliminate or substantially minimize health, safety and environment risk through new equipment, process redesign, etc
- Control of residual wastes, hazardous wastes and compliant management of industrial wastewaters/effluents
- Oversight of composting within the facilities
- Review and inspect the industrial and property security systems that protect the company from losses
- Select personnel for brigades.
- Train and train the personnel that forms the brigades.
- Implement and manage security programs throughout the site, ensure effective safety and hygiene practices, manage risks and control risks.
- Contribute to strategic planning and the prioritization of security activities through the identification of risks and the evaluation of existing potential risks.
- Evaluate behavioral and analytical work risks;
- Manage all environmental sustainability projects through the plant
- Facilitate employee safety committees to ensure employee commitment and engagement
- Work with environment and sustainability regional leadership to ensure adequate risk assessment of waste transportation and handling procedures
- Manage the safety, reliability and compliance of critical equipment
- Implement and facilitate safety programs to adequately train all plant personnel.

**_Internal: _**Plant Manager, HR, Arandas plant areas, Quality, Maintenance, HSE Director Americas.

**_External: _**Suppliers, Maintenance Contractors, Government entities for regulations.

**Experience Required**

Minimum 10 years of experience in health, safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing companies and preferably in process industries (i.e. pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food and/or beverage manufacturing).

**Education / Professional Qualifications**
- Industrial engineering, Quality system engineering or related field.
