_**Mechanical metal turning company, requires Supplier Development Engineer.**_

State formal education level, work experience, & specialization required.

Education: Diploma in Mech. Eng. Or similar with 3-4 years of relevant experience.

Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably experienced in castings, machining and/or fabrication.

The Supplier Development Engineer position will:
Develop specific development plans / concepts for suppliers and follow through with focus on quality, on-time delivery and cost.

Support the alignment of quality criteria at suppliers and ensure efficient at source inspection.

Reduce waste through lean practices with supplier to reduce scrap and process cycle times.

Ensure process development to improve supplier quality and on time delivery.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (in verbal /written english)

- _**Technical experience**_
- Standars: ASTM, DIN, ASME, WPS/PQR/WPO.
- Inspection &measuring, NDT processes (LPT, MPT, UT, RT) certification a plus.
- Ability to use hand precision measuring instruments, micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and other precision instruments.
- Good knowledge of excel (pivot table, and data analysis).
