**Job Summary**:
Serve as the initial point of contact for client managers, supervisors, and employees to access programs/services that are provided by the overall HR department. Communicate all HR programs services; effective employee relations, coaching and advising management and employees; and serving in a business partner role with the senior management teams for their respective client departments.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination throughout the client departments.
- Works with department management to ensure that proper communication of policies and benefits is taking place. Acts as liaison between client groups and HR specialty areas such as compensation, benefits, HRIS, employee development and employment.
- Works with department management to gather data on employee movements: hiring, promotions, lateral transfers, terminations, etc. for entry into the HR system.
- Ensures the accuracy of personnel data input into the HR system and submits corrections as needed.
- Generates various reports to meet statutory or organizational requirements.
- Coaches and counsels managers and employees on employment related issues. Investigates the circumstances surrounding such issues as needed. Develops action plans for bringing resolution to employee concerns. Ensures company compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assists in the administration of the PMP process including communication and coordinating year-end filing of reviews.
- Assists in the administration of compensation: promotions, lateral transfers, and personal grade expirations. In partnership with the compensation unit, counsel’s clients on merit increase and equity issues related to compensation.
- Conducts new hire orientation.
- Conducts exit interviews and analyzes the data collected through these interviews to develop recommendations and strategies to address turnover.
- Assists department management in the development of strategies addressing Employee Survey results.
- Partners with senior leadership in the client departments and advises as needed on departmental organization, employee development, and strategic planning.
- Develops and provides management reports that ensure appropriate understanding of client issues and performance.
- Assists clients in determining appropriate staffing needs and coordinates with employment unit to ensure timely filing of job openings.
- May work with managers to develop and maintain job descriptions. Coordinates with compensation unit to ensure that jobs are graded.
- Coordinates between client groups and employee development for determining development needs and solutions.
- Provides functional leadership to HR AdministratorParticipates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

**Job Requirements**:

- Advanced ability to diagnose issues, develop solutions, and coach and influence line managers in a wide range of HR topics.
- Thorough knowledge of personnel law.
- Advanced ability to create and maintain basic spreadsheets and word processing documents.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to travel as required.

**Education / Experience**:

- Finished University Degree in Human Resources
- 4 years exempt experience in human resources
- Previous experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain in knowledge, skills, and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached.
- Fluent English
