The position requires a highly motivated, trustworthy, flexible and pro-active Trainee to be well trained and prepared by local and regional team to be the procurement reference in several areas, such as Finance, Marketing, HR, Facilities General & Administration. The idea is that the Mexico Trainee undertake a range of analytical and administration duties, based in Mexico, but be the point of contact for questions from the affiliate.

This trainee will have 1x month interaction with Regional Procurement Manager to discuss career, coaching or a sharing knowledge sessions. It’s also expected that the Mexico trainee join on all global trainings related to Finance, P2P and Procurement to learn and spread the knowledge across the affiliate.

This position is responsible for supporting the Elanco Procurement team based in Mexico. The position will collaborate with the Elanco Procurement Local, regional and Global Category Leads for R&D, General & Administrative, IT, HR, Mkt & Sales and Fleet, supporting categories, receiving trainings, coaching/ mentoring, driving productivity through the optimization of manual work and improving internal processes. The position requires good will, pro-active behaviour and organizational skills when dealing with different projects at the same time. The person selected for this role will support Procurement analysts in Mexico.
- The role has point responsibility for sharing the relationship management with the Procurement Analyst.
- Give training and support internal customers in Procurement processes and tools.
- Be the point of contact for stakeholders on operational activities in the Procurement organization.
- Support the definition and creation of optimum flows in procurement processes.
- Follow up KPIs for the most important suppliers.
- Support Accounts Payable and local P2P team in topics related to PO’s, Invoices, Ariba and SAP4.
- Support planning and execution of Procurement activities to Mexico.
- Support creation and implementation of reports related to savings, value capture and SLA’s.
- Manage contracts for Mexico affiliate in the I-Certis tools, following procurement process.
- Ensure compliance in the processes, price and quality established.
- Constant benchmarking for the development of new supply strategies
- Support P2P policies and procedures
- Ensure that P2P personnel are appropriately trained in accounting principles and understand the business impact of their accounts
- Monitor FRAP violations and reporting
- Ensure Purchase Orders are set up correctly
