**SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY**:

- Support the soccer Acquisitions team with the acquisitions and negotiation process of soccer content worldwide, with a focus on programming deals for ESPN in Latin America.
- Assist the soccer Acquisitions team with the management of various existing soccer agreements within the ESPN programming portfolio.
- Assist the regional Programming head and the Head of Sports, Mexico, with evaluating local content opportunities.
- Lead the content acquisition process from initial proposal, through the negotiation, to its execution, invoicing, and scheduling.
- Create internal documents designed to track, communicate, and announce new deals.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with leagues, clubs, agencies, and/or rights holders.
- Ensure contractual obligations are being met for multiple programming deals.
- Support senior Programming management in Bristol, CT USA with various tasks as needed.
- Support ad-hoc projects as needed.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Manage acquisitions and other programming initiatives, by reviewing contracts, supporting bidding processes, creating deal summaries, disseminating pertinent information to various departments and ensuring contractual obligations are being met.
- Act as liaison with Legal department to support contract review process.
- Perform administrative tasks such as P&L requests, drafting of programming rights proposals, executive summaries, acquisitions tracking documents, processing invoices, and deal summaries.
- Answer day-to-day rights clearance questions from various departments.
- Gather and disseminate programming information amongst multiple internal departments (including Production, Marketing, Promotions, Communications, and Ad Sales).
- Work collaboratively with the Programming Scheduling team and other departments including Production, Marketing and Ad Sales to maximize ESPN’s programming rights.
- Assemble metrics/data for organizers such as distribution and ratings information.
- Assemble competitive analysis and intelligence gathering related to competitors and market trends to support the broader content acquisitions strategy.
- Review and follow up of new programming pitches.
- Develop meaningful relationships with European and regional rights-sellers, leagues, clubs, and event organizers.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in media, preferably in content acquisitions, content strategy and/or content scheduling, and media partnerships.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Must have strong knowledge of soccer competitions, from European competitions to regional Concacaf competitions and local Mexican and Central American soccer.
- Strong knowledge of the Mexican and/or Central American sports media markets.
- Strong knowledge of sports in general.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills, along with a high degree of comfort in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of trust and confidentiality to work with sensitive information.
- Must have high attention to detail, be proactive and collaborative.
- Must be fluent in English and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English & Spanish.
- Experience with contract negotiations, a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
