Commodities senior traffic operator_**

**Essential Functions**
- Maintaining active dialogue with suppliers, customers and logistics providers to ensure smooth and accurate execution of metals shipments
- Negotiate competitive transportation and supervision rates, and booking/follow up of product movements
- Work closely with Traders for effective execution of contracts
- Handle Invoicing and bank releases both with trade counterparts and logistics providers
- Daily updating the Metals risk system with all details: quantities, pricing, quality, shipment dates, invoices, in accordance with the contracts
- Following exposures, for stock and pricing purposes
- Following up of collateralized financing requests and payments
- Preparing Monthly Stock updates for Accounting/Insurance

**Education/Professional Certifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in International/foreign trade/international relations or related
- Strong knowledge in commodity environment
- Knowledge of terminal markets

**Experience**
- 3-5 (plus) years of hard/soft Commodities traffic experience
- Experience in domestic and international logistics (vessels, trucks, rail, barge, containers and port customs formalities)

**Desirable/Preferred qualifications**
- Mining commodities traffic experience

**Knowledge/Skills/Abilities**
- Proficiency with MS Excel
- Proficiency in English
- Team player
- Strong aptitude for numbers and analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized and self-motivated
- Multi-tasking a must, ability to work under pressure
- Effective communication with third parties and all internal points (platform and region)
- Decision Making/Accountability
- Independent thinking and creative problem solving skills are expected.
- Calculate hedge adjustments quickly.
- Negotiate competitive freight rates.
