**Job Description Summary**

Provides mechanical and technical direction for manufacturing equipment and technology.Monitors and resolves mechanical and equipment problems on the production line.Provides technical direction for new equipment installation. Performs maintenance and parts replacement.Coordinates with purchasing and vendors on acquisition and disposal of equipment.Logs and documents production problems. Identifies and reports potential problem areas. Proposes solutions.
- Identifica problemas de mantenimiento y confiabilidad observando y estudiando el funcionamiento del sistema y los resultados de desempeño; investigando quejas y sugerencias; entrevistar a supervisores y operadores de procesos; completando los procedimientos de solución de problemas.
- Identifica prioridades de mantenimiento y confiabilidad mediante la evaluación de objetivos; tales como, eficiencia, ahorro de costos, conservación de energía, conveniencia del operador, seguridad, calidad ambiental; estimando la relevancia, el tiempo y los costos.
- Desarrolla soluciones de mantenimiento y confiabilidad definiendo, estudiando, estimando y explorando soluciones alternativas; cálculo económico; determinar el impacto en el sistema total.
- Anticipa problemas de mantenimiento y confiabilidad estudiando objetivos operacionales, modos de operación, limitaciones de unidades; monitoreo del rendimiento de la unidad.
- Mantiene un ambiente seguro, a salvo y saludable rigiéndose a las normas y políticas de la organización y a las regulaciones legales; abordando inmediatamente los problemas y alertando a los demás sobre posibles preocupaciones.
