- Leadership team to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with production, mill services and engineering management to eliminate or mitigate safety hazards.
- Assure full compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other applicable regulations, Work to include, but is not limited to, managing regulated waste disposal, air quality recordkeeping, wastewater sampling and reporting, maintenance of approved chemical lists, maintaining OSHA 300 logs, and conducting site inspections.
- Coordinate all safety, health and environmental related services / audits with outside vendors and regulators including ISO 14001 Environmental Management System audits.
- Serve as the primary emergency coordinator in accordance with the facility's Hazardous Waste Management Facility Contingency Plan and other emergency response plans.
