Job Description

MAIN FUNCTIONS:
Solving problems with Customs import/ export processes abilities

Risk based thinking and knowledge on control activities designing and implementations.

Generates customs documents in compliance with Mx customs regulations for RAW MATERIAL

Legal knowledge for import/ export relevant regulations.

Able to have daily interactions with U.S., Customs Broker to solve any issue or discrepancy in the clearance / customs process.

Maintain direct communication with the customs operations supervisor for reporting any incidents that involve relevant issues or weaknesses on the Customs Clearance process (US/MX)

Ability to perform a detailed analysis for new routes or import processes and designing correct operations controls to ensure that all the Legal requirements are meet and avoid customs penalties.

Elaboration of import and export invoices in Annex 24 system and SAP GTS module for imports, exports of all types of materials.

To perform on time review and authorization of pedimentos

Analyze and define which tariff benefit to use depending on the import operations.

Management of pedimentos and virtual operations, regime changes and regularizations.

Perform monthly virtual operations closing on time to avoid incurring on customs fines for extemporary import /export operations.

Coordinate information generation and periodic reports creation related with customs, foreign trade, and certifications

Prepares the reports and presentations of managerial information of its activities and shows it in the periodic meetings of management of results of customs department.

Daily control of export priorities coordination.

Review and ensure the integration of correct and complete dispatch documents for customs purposes.

Identify hazmat materials and coordinate the correct documentation for customs clearances to avoid any penalties for incorrect or missing information.

Coordinate with customs broker personnel for import/export operations, documentation, and electronic transmission to customs.

Keeps the Customs Manager and supervisors informed about future and emerging risks during the department's activities

Ensures compliance with security programs and / or C-TPAT / AEO certifications in Foreign Trade operations.

Other activities inherent to the customs department. Knowledge in BOM structures and annex 24 backflush.

Monitor import and export operations and ensure to report issues or potential risks with them directly to the supervisor.

Follow the instructions contained in the Internal Work Regulation concerning safety, care of equipment, materials, facilities, and other resources owned by the company.

Expenses review experience to ensure that payments to Customs service contractors is correct according to our operations.

Coordination abilities for the Customs operation Team to ensure that workloads are distributed equally.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor of Foreign Trade and Customs, international businesses; related

5 years of Experience in import - export customs procedures (Mexican and American Customs) desirable

Knowledge and handling of export pedimentos (annex 24, 22 & appendix 8) US Entries, e-Manifest, COVE, BOLs, tariff classification; domain of the CTPAT & OEA program, IMMEX, PROSEC.
