**What does a Solution Architect Intern do?**
An Architecture Intern will assist a Solution Architect with their work on an Agile Release Train (ART). The ART works in program increments of 10 weeks. An intern will learn the basics behind SAFe and the roles and responsibilities an Architect has on an ART. They will assist in Proofs of Concept and diagraming systems in the enterprise.
The exploration spikes in a program increment are the right size of work to be completed during an internship. This specific internship will assist with POC’s with CyberSec to test using TLS and HTTPS on z/TPF vs. using a proxy on z/Linux Red Hat to save z/TPF MIPS as well as one to test data event provisioning to push data changes to MongoDB.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Requirements gathering
- Updates to solution intent documents
- Technology proofs of concept
- Architecture diagraming
- Contribute to the value of an art by assisting the architect with documentation and proofs of concept
**Who we are looking for in this role**:
- Studying for a relevant degree, such as Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or Computer Science
- Interest in Cyber Security or z/TPF and z/Linux, or MongoDB
