El gerente de fábrica inteligente (SFM) desempeña muchas funciones: operaciones de producción y responsabilidades de calidad, así como DevOps (diseño/ingeniería de productos), junto con responsabilidades cibernéticas y de TI ampliadas. Sus responsabilidades ampliadas los colocan en la posición única de integrar la fabricación avanzada, la conectividad segura y el análisis de datos procesables para impulsar un nuevo nível de efectividad general del equipo (OEE).

En su función ampliada, los SFM son responsables de una mayor parte del flujo de valor de fabricación que los sitios de fabricación tradicionales. Los SFM determinan cronogramas de construcción y níveles de inventario en función de pronósticos de demanda derivados de inteligencia artificial (IA) y algoritmos de aprendizaje automático. Con su apertura ampliada, los SFM aplican su criterio para establecer parámetros relacionados con la asignación de productos, la rentabilidad o la introducción de nuevos productos, por ejemplo.

Los SFM trabajan con el director de calidad para identificar patrones de datos para predecir problemas de calidad y dirigir acciones en respuesta a estos conocimientos. También aprovechan los paneles de análisis de mantenimiento predictivo para identificar de forma proactiva las máquinas que funcionan fuera de los parámetros establecidos y dirigir el mantenimiento preventivo para abordar el problema.

**Responsabilidades**:

- Identificar y facilitar la incorporación de tecnologías avanzadas que permitan la autooptimización de los activos conectados en la(s) línea(s) de producción.
- Desarrollar una variedad de capacidades de fabricación automatizadas, que incluyen: corte robótico, tejido computarizado e impresión 3D.
- Trabajar con el equipo de producción para gestionar el flujo de requisitos de los clientes para configuraciones únicas de productos que ingresan a la fábrica a través de planificación automatizada de la demanda, portales de comercio electrónico y productos conectados en el campo.
- Gestionar la instalación, las operaciones y el mantenimiento de todos los níveles de la “pila” de soluciones de fábrica inteligente que ofrece conectividad continua, incluido el establecimiento de acuerdos de nível de servicio (SLA) con proveedores y la garantía de que se sigan los protocolos de ciberseguridad.
