The Engineering NPI Coordinator is an expert-level technical role, assigned to lead and/or support strategies, initiatives and ongoing technology scouting associated with manufacturing automation in Avery Dennison sites.

This role receives and drives the needs for the Introduction of New Products with the site. owns the product life cycle during all stages from introduction to obsolescence. Coordinates the successful implementation of Engineering Changes as well as the potential monitoring of financial impacts to drive improved speed to market, productivity, quality, and cost. All work is accomplished with focus on promoting EHS and sustainability.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Perform the production planning process based on established steps to fulfill manufacturing facility needs to get a profitable production of the new products being launched.
- Identification and development of next generation manufacturing platforms and processes, accelerating conversion to digital workflow
- Ongoing collaboration and communication with colleagues and stakeholders across all functions to understand priority needs and opportunities and to share ideas and proposals
- Technology scouting and open innovation - engage in processes to proactively identify potential solutions and partners, establish and engage in ongoing practices to build a culture that encourages trying new things and failing fast to drive rapid learning
- Driving improvements using effective problem solving and lean principles, proposing and implementing changes to work processes and new technologies
- Supporting technology and product roadmaps for near and long term strategy - recommending and advising on capital investments, equipment modifications, and technology improvements
- Project management - effectively leading project teams and proactively managing execution of priority initiatives to deliver improved processes and results
- Coaching, training, and development of required skills and capabilities in others.
- Follow the internal work regulations and safety requirements established by the company.
- Actively participate in the improvement of the Quality/Safety and Environment Management System, based on procedures and instructions, as well as share, understand and comply with the Quality/Safety and Environment Policy.
- Establish a project plan, driving and controlling its progress and reporting its progress.
- Manage the work groups under your responsibility, motivating its members and resolving possible conflicts.
- Coordinate the control revisions of Engineering documents related to the product such as: BOM, work definitions (routings) specifications and customer drawings on the document control and ERP, systems.
- Expertise for manufacturing technologies, process automation and innovation
- Engineering fundamentals for launch process steps.
- Basic business acumen

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or commensurate training and work experience with demonstrated technical expertise across a range of products and technologies
- Minimum 6 years related work experience - manufacturing technologies, operations, process improvements, and problem solving.
- Knowledge on ISO 9001, ISO IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 (ISO 13485 knowledge is a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with limited supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to coach, train, and develop others
- Ability to effectively work, positively influence and collaborate with others
- Ability to travel when required to support business
