We are looking to hire an Operational Excell ence Sr Enginner to join our team at San Luis Potosi:
**Position Summary**

Strategic business partner to the facility as it relates to the culture, philosophy, and methodology for Production System Excellence - Lean) responsible for planning, administering, and implementing assigned lean activities through leading and directing the work of lean manufacturing in the facility.

**What you can look forward as Operational Excellence Sr Engineer**:

- Lead plant-wide continuous improvement activities through training, project and event work completion using Production System methodologies.
- Direct involvement in the development of manufacturing process within the context of Production System focused on material flow, waste elimination, standardization, line balancing and ergonomics.
- Responsible for reporting and maintaining Production System documentation including KPIs.
- Support production capacity analysis, equipment utilization optimization, plant lay out, OEE calculation and improvements action
- Provide status on Production System road map & continuous improvement projects to management staff.
- Coordinate annual Production System events including VSA (Value Stream Analysis), Lean assessments, workshops, and trainings.
- Contribute to plant communications channels (newsletters and informational meetings)
- Support the continuous improvement outreach program to supplier base using Lean philosophy and tools and Six Sigma methodology.
- Represent ZF San Luis Potosi Production System off-site events as agreed upon with CIP and Plant Manager (expected travel = 10 to 20%)
- Teach and lead the implementation of a lean philosophy in the facility. This involves facilitating, prioritizing, and analyzing continuous improvement activities within all departments using Production System (Production System Excellence - Lean).
- Facilitate and promote Production System at all levels of the organization.
- Drive the culture of change in the plant to a lean philosophy utilizing Production System harmonized methods.
- Understand and comply with IATF16949, all ISO system requirements, or any other state and local requirements.
- Other duties as related to this position.

**Your profile as Operational Excellence Sr Engineer**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience within a manufacturing environment and/or a continuous improvement capacity.
- Competed Associates degree
- Demonstrated participation in lean / six sigma kaizen events or projects.
- Good written and oral communications skills
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize and schedule daily tasks
- Ability to effectively facilitate teams.
- Effective interactions with hourly employees and upper management (trust, respect and influence).
- Limited supervision (semi-monthly) Semi-defined general guidance; independent discretion applied.
- Advanced working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within lean management.
- Working knowledge of product line(s) and process management principles.
- Experience with lean systems (e.g., Kaizen, Kanban, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Advanced understanding of industrial/process engineering techniques and principles
- Ability to use AutoCAD, updating drawings, creating layers, etc.
- Bachelors Degree degree in Engineering /Mechanical or Industrial.
- 5+ years of experience leading continuous improvement
