Ingredion is hiring a General Accounting to execute accounting transactions for the PureCircle Mexico Company, in accordance with USGAAP and local GAAP, ensuring transactions are accurate and properly stated. Participate in the month end and year end closing process as required.

Ingredion is focused on providing the world with ingredients that make everyday products better. We turn grains, fruits, vegetables and other plant materials into ingredients that make yogurt creamy, candy sweet, crackers crispy, paper strong and nutrition bars high in fiber. We serve more than 60 diverse sectors in the food, beverage, paper and corrugating, brewing and other industries.

**As a General Accountant, **your responsibilities will include**:

- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting based in USGAAP and local GAAP to ensure accurate financial data is available for the Mexico business as required.
- Perform GL controls and processes to ensure SOX compliance.
- Prepare and provide financial information for internal/external audits and corporate accounting ensuring information is accurate and timely.
- Perform Manual Journal Entries.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure internal control policies are being followed.
- Execution monthly depreciation process to fixed assets and accounting closing report.
- Perform account analysis related to Federal Tax and Social Security to update local policies and procedures as requested by Mexican Authority.
- Conduct process reviews and compliance with the electronic accounting requirements in Mexican Authority from SAP.
- Perform account analysis and internal control analysis related to projects to update local policies and procedures as requested by manager.
- Perform and reconciliation of balances with intercompany in Accounts Receivable.
- Perform E-invoicing xml files preparation and review from EDIWIN to deliver for taxes department.
- Perform cadency twice a month, upload information of closing month with different reports and reconcile ending balances.
- Perform process reviews and preparation of periodic analysis to comply with revenue recognition.
- Assist as needed to the controlling area by performing Fixed assets counts verifications and by performing review analysis over users’ system access.

- Preform SAP year end roll-forward.

- 0-4 years accounting experience.

- Demonstrated ability to identify issues, develop solutions and make and support decisions to resolve problems and take advantage of opportunities.
- Proven verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization as well as to external customers and vendors.
- Proven proficiency in the use of MS Suite programs (i.e., Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
- Proficiency in US GAAP and MX GAAP accounting principles as well as understanding of SOX and Operational/Financial Risks
