- Advanced programming of robotics, PLC’s, motion controllers, HMI, Vision Systems etc. in support of the automation of existing processes.
- Fabricate and design work stations for assembly and automation of small parts.
- Collect and analyze technical process/product data and consolidate it for logical presentations to engineer and management for evaluation.
- Program process controllers and other ancillary equipment to support the development of new processes.
- Oversee and work with maintenance/facilities and vendors on the installation, repair, and maintenance of production equipment.
- Contribute to design and process changes in support of continuous improvement and/or Lean/Six Sigma practices while maintaining critical product quality attributes.
- Provide technical input for capital appropriation requests.
- Conduct experiments to validate product quality and consistency.
- Regular reporting of progress to the engineering team, both verbally and through written reports.
- Provides direction, training and coaching for lower level associates.
- Capable and willing to travel International and Domestic, if necessary.

**Job Requirements**:
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**:
AA / Technical degree required or 7+ years’ experience in a technical manufacturing environment supporting engineering activities on the shop floor with experience in high-volume medical device manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience designing and fabricating workstation for assembly and automation of small parts utilizing PLC’s, motion controls, vision systems, etc.
- Use automated solutions to develop, maintain, and improve manufacturing and inspection processes and procedures.
- Assist with performing process failure mode effects analyses.
- Experience setting and operating CNC machines is a plus.
- Ability to mentor and train others effectively in technical concepts and processes.
- Fundamental understanding GD&T tolerances and dimensions for high precision medical devices.
- Thorough understanding and experience with programming robotics, PLC’s (primarily Allen Bradley CompactLogix & ControlLogix), temperature controllers, and other machine controls.
- Experience with automated assemble and machine controls.
- Proficient in pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical design.
- Ability to research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical equipment.
- A team player that can work well under constrained deadlines and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel.
- Follows directions well and is self-motivated to adopt and learn new things.
- Must possess excellent technical judgment and able to set logical action plans for process trouble shooting and risk mitigation.

**LANUGUAGE SKILLS**:

- Excellent communications skills, both written and oral are required.
- Ability to speak, and read a foreign language is a plus, English/Spanish Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating procedures. Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization is required.

**COMPUTER SKILLS**:

- Competent with use of personal computers and related software is desirable.
- Must possess excellent Communication (Technical, Oral, Written).
- Must possess excellent technical judgment and able to set logical action plan and technical problem resolution.

**MATH ABILITY**:

- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate rates, ration and percent to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to discern trends and analyze operational and financial reports.
