Your Role and Responsibilities
This role is key to ensure IBM products meet the highest quality standards, helping business to deliver reliable solutions.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Testing Execution:

- Execute manual and automated tests to identify software defects, bugs, and usability issues.
- Perform different types of testing, including functional, system, regression testing.

2. Reporting & Tracking issues (Defect Management):

- Identify, document, and report defects in a clear and detailed manner.
- Use bug-tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, Github) to log, track, and manage defects until resolution.

3. Collaboration with Development Teams:

- Work closely with software engineers to ensure early detection of defects during the development cycle.
- Participate in design and test cases reviews to provide a QA perspective.

4. Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- Propose and implement improvements to the QA process to enhance quality and efficiency.

5. Documentation:

- Ensure proper documentation of test processes, results, and tools.
- Provide reports and test metrics to stakeholders on the health and quality of the software.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

**Required Skills**:

- Knowledge of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Knowledge with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Github).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying issues.
- Accountable for individual or team results.

Preferred Skills
- Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC).
- Experience with scripting languages for test automation (Python, Java, JavaScript).
- Proficiency in using automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG).
