**What’s the role?**

This role will focus on developing and enhancing Etsy’s capabilities around credit and stored value solutions. The team will be tasked with creating scalable, innovative systems to improve how buyers and sellers interact with credit on our platform. These capabilities are still in their early stages, but their potential is immense. Developing them further could transform the marketplace, driving innovation and creating a thriving ecosystem that aligns seamlessly with Etsy's vision of empowering creativity and connection.

The team for this role is a distributed squad that works within the Payments engineering organization. They are an experienced team ranging in level. This squad designed and built the foundations on which the Stored Value system will be built.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, Engineering. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.

**What’s this team like at Etsy?**

The Stored Value squad is a group of dedicated, empathetic engineers. This squad works within the larger Payments engineering organization. The Stored Value squad will be responsible for driving an ambitious roadmap of projects that impact buyers and sellers alike. Payments is a complex area, with endless challenges to be solved. As Etsy grows to expand its offerings to buyers and sellers this team will be critical to the success of that growth.

**What does the day-to-day look like?**
- You will work collaboratively with multiple engineers at a range of levels to support you in gaining critical onboarding about how Etsy designs and writes software.
- Continuously learn from your teammates and share your own insights with them.
- Push code to production early and often using our continuous deployment systems.
- Empathy, ownership, communication, and technical skill are valued equally.
- Participate in code and design reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.

- Experience working with vendor integrations, especially payments-related vendors is a strong plus.
