**Job Overview**:
Support to Senior and Principals Plate nester to Develop, programming, and configuration of bevels in Omni Bevel for different material thicknesses and plate cutting. D evelop the structural plate nest works accordingly to the Structural lofting process. Participation of cutting tests with the development of bevel files into the project assigned. Control and approve all documentation developed by the structural plate nesting discipline issued for the project. Coordinate and review that Nesting packages follow General Notes, welding requirements, project fabrication specifications, material specifications, and Supplier information to ensure that the work performed meets the Project and/or Bid requirements and timeline. Provide a Progress Report, as required

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Coordination of Structural Nesting activities, supervision of assigned Associates Structural Plate Nestersinto a project
- Review structural shop drawings (Lofting) used as input in nesting process.
- Ensure all the documents that have been delivered by document control, get to construction and manufacturing engineering, in addition to following up that the plate cutting files have been issued and the Messer has the corresponding files for plate cutting.
- Help, review and/or develop structural material volumes for the Structural Bill of Materials (Material Take Off).
- Assistance for Fab CSE, Yard Planning, and MTO activities as required.
- Report on KPI measurement results and take required corrective actions.
- Interaction with the MTO team for changes in materials specified in the design and changed due to market availability, follow up on drawing updates. Prepare deviation documents for documentation.
- Elaboration, control, and follow-up of checklists of project activities.
- Preparation of timesheets for rework activities.
- Reading lessons learned according to the activity to be developed.
- Participate in audits.
- Oversee the organization of information in project folders.
- Ability to detect when change orders are required and trigger the generation of rework timesheets.
- Work with subcontractors to exchange information for shop engineering generation.
- Perform safety walkthroughs required by the projects.
- Familiarization with the company's internal procedures and processes.
- Participate in the structural discipline, in regard to the engineering support in yard fabrications, for the development of the activities of the different phases in the execution of a project such as Bidding, Design, Procurement, and Construction.
- Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Engineering Services Manager

**Essential Qualifications and Education**:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in structural material and nesting systems of shop fabrication Offshore Platforms and/or Onshore Structures with major constructor, contractor, or consultant.
- Bachelor´s degree or technical career in Civil, Mechanical, industrial, Computer Engineering or related field

**Preferred Qualifications and Education**:

- ProNEST & Omni Bevel (or similar)
- Interpretation of drawings for onshore and offshore installations.
- Knowledge in standards ASTM, API, AISC, International Construction Practices, Material Specifications, Catalogues of components and/ or construction materials, reading and interpretation of structural Design and Shop drawings.
- Knowledge in Quantification, Control, and Management of materials.
- Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Navis Works.
- Intermediate knowledge of the English language.
- Intermediate Office programming
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience in material control and material inventory databases
- AUTOCAD 2D and 3D
- Participate in the elaboration and development of L2, L3, and L4 procedures of Global procedures used in MDR.
- Participate in the updating process of the Job Descriptions of Structural Plate Nesting discipline in the Construction support Department.
- Share knowledge about best practices for Safety.
- Upgrade in automated report design from ProNEST
- Ability to analyze processes used by the department and suggest improvement opportunities
