As a Web Developer at Brightcove, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our web properties. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design and Product to implement cutting-edge web solutions that align with our business goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact and high visibility projects, influence the user experience, and contribute to the growth of an industry leader.

This position is an individual contributor reporting into the Manager, Web Development.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead continuous architecture improvements to accommodate growing demand and increasing system complexity.
- Drive new features from end-to-end through prototyping, validation, implementation, launch, and continuous iteration.
- Review and collaborate with other developers on features, architecture, designs, time & budget estimates, and test strategies. Ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
- Establish and maintain a strategy to monitor system uptime and functionality.
- Partner across different functional teams within the Marketing department, including Marketing Operations, Product Marketing and Design, to consistently deliver projects.
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

**Qualification/Experience**
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.
- Profound knowledge of web technologies, encompassing the DOM, web security, cloud hosting, asynchrony, and performance optimization.
- Experience working with Headless CMS, preferably Contentful.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Highly adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced, transformative, and results-driven SaaS software environment.

**Preferred**:

- Experience with Contentful.
- Up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, recommend new tools and approaches to enhance development processes.
- Experience working within B2B SaaS software environment.
