**Objective of the position**
Assure and optimize procurement of direct and indirect material for the DRX Group for a commodity, especially cost reduction, taking into account quality aspects; primary contact person to supplier (‘owner’ of supplier).
**Principal activities**
- Act as internal and external contact person within his/her own area of expertise; cooperate in internal working groups.
- Observe/identify trends in his/her area of expertise in order to develop concepts; suggest recommendations for action (e.g. Observe and analyze the applicable procurement markets, etc.)
- Control and manage long-term strategic supplier relationships as owner of the supplier, escalates issues as needed to Mgmt.
- Cooperate with Global Lead Buyers and within the international purchasing network.
- Support the MM technical project leader during the project phase.
- Request, compare and evaluate extensive bids, taking into account price, quality, delivery performance and technology; conduct cost reduction actions according to activity plans and targets set.
- Identify and realize cost-savings potentials.
- Promote new technologies and substitutes, including initiation of approval processes.
- Implement setup of complex procurement relationships with suppliers, including contract negotiations and management.
- Cooperate in make or buy analyses and decisions.
- Cooperates with internal cross-functional customers as required.
- Manage the supplier determination process.
- Assure the search, evaluation, selection, approval and setup of new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant units.
- Directing and supporting associates to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality, environmental, occupational, health and safety (ISO 45001) management systems.
- Responsible for respecting the DRÄXLMAIER Group Information Security Policy in their respective area of responsibility. Is also committed to meeting the business information security challenges of the organization. Promotes and supports the effort to deploy implementing the appropriate financial and human resources.
**Requirements**:
**Professional career**: BD - Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or
related field
**Relevant experience**: 10-15 years in Contract Negotiations and 5 years in
Automotive Product Knowledge.
**English**: Business Level.
