JOB SUMMARY

Performs complex technical work including the design, manufacture and operation of structures, machines, and systems.

Identifies and develops internal areas of opportunities through the DMAIIC methodology and tools of Excellency in processes with the purpose of reducing the manufacturing cost of the products and continue with the culture of continuous improvement and follows up in quality and regulatory requirements comprehended in the business strategy.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under limited supervisionand in accordance with all applicable federal, state,and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

- Provides moderately complex technical support for project planning, development, implementation, and modification; contributes to engineering standards development balancing corporate and customer needs.
- Exercises independent judgment on details of work and in making selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.
- Performs assignments that have moderately complex objectives and require the investigation of multiple variables.
- Performs work which involves complex conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively complex features for which there are precedents.
- Assignments usually include more than one of the following: equipment design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, and report preparation.
- Identifies, designs,and develops the necessary equipment.
- Performs material tests.
- Studies the processes to implement improvements.
- Responsible for preparing and mnaging specifications.
- ordinates technicians and engineers about unusual problems.
- Responsible for purchasing and designing equipment and tools that meet manufacturing, safety and environment requirements.
- Participates in saving and capital projects.
- Responsible of complying with finance metrics.
- Responsible for evaluating and developing action plans for quality, safety, cost, service and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Performs activities of process/product validation.
- Can supervise, coordinate,and technically revise the work of a limited group of technicians.
- Responsible of evaluating and providing feedback in a timely manner, in performance and development plans for personnel in charge.
- Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
- For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
- Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other duties assigned as needed.

**Qualifications**:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- Engineering, any specialty.
- Master’s in scienceand/or certification isrecommended.
- Preferably 2 to 4 years in a similar position.
- Preferably knowledge in the medical industry

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS
- Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and documentation, preferably in the medical industry.
- Experiment design.
- Knowledge in statistical analysis tools.
- Management of statistical procedures.
- Knowledge of computer programs.
- Oral and written communication in Spanish
- Strong comprehension of standard costs and work standards.
- Knowledge of productive processes.
- Experimental Engineering techniques.
- Advanced English.
