Confirm packaging meets form, fit and ergonomic requirements for plant internal packaging/dunnage.
- Initiate corrective actions to alleviate part quality concerns related to dunnage or handling
- Support lean manufacturing continuous improvement (decanted marketplace, small lot containerization, flexible linefeed, returnable containerization, etc.).
- Manage Ford-owned container and material handling maintenance and cleaning projects
- Manage stock piles, external warehousing, and logistics (supporting part re-pack, rust-proofing, container repair, dunnage washing, and long-term part storage).
- Develop internal packaging/dunnage specifications and sign off ( global Ford packaging specification)
- Work with teams, operators, and Material Handling to improve workstation material delivery and presentation.
- Develop layout proposals for unique operations or line rebalances.
- Specify, purchase, and coordinate the installation of material handling linefeed equipment
- Complete cost studies, capital improvement budget projects, forecasting packaging and container/racks costs, MH equipment requirements, floor space effect, material flow impact, and synchronous material flow system support.

Education: High school diploma

2-5 years’ experience

Ability to work with all levels of the organization
