**Summary**:
Are you looking to take part in a Procurement transformation at the world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of hospital supplies? We are looking for a results driven Procurement category leader with a passion for driving value, who wants to join our company mission to save and sustain lives.

The leader in this role will be responsible for leading our Capital Equipment and Construction categories globally with a total spend in excess of $450 million, reporting to the Global Director of Manufacturing Operations within Baxter’s Indirect Procurement team.

This position will be responsible for leading procurement excellence and driving best value for the categories under management, with key focus on cost, quality, and service. This role involves project management across several functions, business units and global sites and collaborating closely with business partners at the senior level to define priorities, establish strategic and tactical objectives, develop a multi-year category roadmap ensuring accurate alignment of requirements and supply base. Additionally, the leader in this role will continuously and proactively investigate new suppliers/technologies as inputs into our value funnel, supporting our organizational goals while helping to improve patient outcomes.

**Main Responsabilities**:
1. Collaborate with internal partners and use these relationships to lead category strategies, pipeline items and short/medium/long-term goals to support the ongoing delivery of product pipeline.

2. Lead the supplier selection, risk assessment and contract negotiation process for key projects.

3. Ensure that appropriate Supplier Relationship Management programs are in place for strategic and critical suppliers in the concerned categories of spend.

4. Provide regular progress updates to Senior Leadership and to key internal partners.

5. Lead negotiations across critical supply agreements using strong value-based techniques.

6. Monitor, track and report on savings and incremental value of sourcing activities

7. Stimulate and support innovation by using the supplier base, regularly reviewing market developments, and mobilizing the appropriate internal network.

8. Be an inspiring leader within the organization on key solutions in the marketplace consistently ensuring that Baxter has line of sight to current trends in cost management.

**Requirements**:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related field.

2. Minimum 5+ years of category management experience with multinational organizations, with a minimum of 2 years managing MRO in a corporate setting.

3. Develop and Execute MRO Strategy, including supplier(s) selection, negotiation, risk and opportunity assessments.

4. Generate, develop, and manage projects aimed at reducing TCO and obtain required stakeholder support to implement project(s).

5. Strong analytic and negotiation skills.

6. Proven experience in people, stakeholder, and project management.

7. Experience in contracting to include but not be limited to Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Amendments and NDAs.

8. Deep understanding of Procurement standard processes, supply markets, suppliers and products.

9. Sophisticated understanding of pricing models and contracts terms.

10. Ability to work in a multi-cultural and matrix environment.
