Accountant Sr

Purpose Statement: To support and partner with team members in overseeing, processing and reviewing a variety of accounting information and reports for the Company, ensure the accurate accruals and reporting accuracy of other assets and liabilities

Key Job Accountabilities:

- Works closely with Accounting Manager in establishing and maintaining tools and processes related to accounting reporting
- Reconcile Balance Sheet Accounts on a monthly basis including proper documentation and appropriate work papers
- Prepare weekly and month end journal entries to ensure accurate account balances
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to comply with SOX requirements
- Analyze general ledger accounts for accuracy, extraordinary or unusual items
- Prepares operational metrics and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
- Analyze forecasted versus actual results on a monthly basis and assist in reconciling variances between them.

Additional Accountabilities:

- Assist with the preparation of audit requirements.
- Review monthly reconciliations performed by other accountants
- Supports the manufacturing sites with margin analysis and issue resolution.
- Assist other Corporate and site department when required
- Provide backup for Accounting
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

- A minimum of Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s level coursework is preferred.
- Five (5) years of related experience is required; One (1) or more years of equivalent industry experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Other Qualifications:

- Excellent math skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
- JDE experience a plus
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Problem solving skills
- Accounting, SOX, NIF, USGAAP, Audit procedures.

Work Environment:

- The work setting should consist of an office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level.
