**The Role**

Dematic/KION is looking for an **Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer **responsible for the administration and management of virtual desktop infrastructures and environments with a focus on user experience and performance.

**Responsibilities**

To be successful in this role, your proven track record will enable you to deliver against the following key performance areas:

- Validate components of the Azure infrastructure as part of the AVD / W365 deployment.
- Optimize, scale, and monitor the virtual desktop infrastructures.
- Analyze and evaluate cloud resources and develop strategies for cost optimization, capacity and lifecycle management, and governance.
- PowerShell scripting for automation and management tasks.
- Shape safety standards and check compliance with them.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or similar field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of Microsoft Azure.
- Experience in PowerShell, Microsoft 365 (M365), Azure Active Directory, Intune, VDI, VMware, Citrix.
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) certificate (Desired).
- Experience in technologies Citrix, Remote Desktop or other VMWare, Active Directory, Conditional Access, Storage and Networking.
