**Summary of This Role**:
IT generalist responsible for producing broad scope designs spanning multiple technical domains. These enable the continued evolution and expansion of the Global Payments IT infrastructure to support new clients and new services in line with Global Payments IT technical standards and corporate strategic direction, feeding into and driving that strategic direction at consultant levels. Captures, interprets and understand business requirements and produces costed IT infrastructure solutions to meet these requirements. Provides authoritative technical consultancy across a range of technical areas, facilitating the delivery of solution designs involving teams from different technical and business disciplines. Responsible for maintaining assigned aspects of the Technical Service Catalogue and Technical Build Standards. Involved throughout the project delivery life cycle including, where necessary, delivery of detailed designs, monitoring designs and development of supporting software (scripts, automated business processes, etc.) to affect the integration into the Global Payments operational environment.

**What Part Will You Play?**:

- Provide infrastructure solution input into a range of IT projects, including major new client and new platform implementations. Acts as a consultant to wider business project team and as architectural authority on infrastructure solutions
- Leads technical, cross-functional project teams to capture and document functional and non-functional requirements, carrying out IT infrastructure impact analysis and producing high-level Infrastructure Solution Designs for Global Payments architectural approval and business case input.
- Proactively engages with internal and client-facing business units to obtain advanced notice of upcoming major projects and initiatives, providing technical consultancy where necessary to help create propositions, business cases and service designs
- Acts as design authority for assigned technical area(s), setting design standards and reviewing and approving other designs against those standards.
- Provides Infrastructure consultancy to the business analysis teams during Discovery process for new clients and produce internal and client-facing Infrastructure Solution Designs as part of the overall Discovery documentation
- Drives operational and organizational change to align with strategic technical plans and business requirements, by building business cases, developing roadmaps and chairing/instigating workshops
- Acting as technical SME, carries out detailed implementation & integration activities for new solutions, including end-to-end orchestration of complex platforms. Acts as technical team lead for implementation/integration activities
- Acting as technical SME, maintains and ensures regular review of assigned Technical Service Catalogue items.
- Acting as technical SME, defines low-level technical standards associated for assigned area
- Owns the definition and regular review of aspects of Global Payments technical architecture strategy, aligning this with business and overall IT strategy
- Acts as a champion for technical change in line with business and IT strategy, producing robust business cases to support multi-million dollar investment in new infrastructure and software solutions

- Relevant Experience or Degree in: BCS Solution Development & Architecture (practitioner level or equivalent); Relevant technology experience (expert level) Typically Minimum 8+ Years Relevant Exp
