**The Role**

The API & DevOps Engineer will work with PACCAR developers across multiple divisions to oversee the code releases, combining an understanding of both engineering and coding. From creating and implementing systems software to analyzing data to improve existing ones, a DevOps Engineer increases productivity in the workplace. They understand the software development lifecycle and have a clear understanding of various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/ CD pipelines).

The person in this position should be analytical, have a high customer focus, and have a passion for process improvement; is responsible for the production and development and management of APIs, while cultivating a market for the users. Need to work with customer service to ensure that all stakeholders, Developers and end-users get proper access to the APIs, in coordination with Integration Architect, it’s responsible for the PACCAR vision of all APIs and help identify third-party APIs that are needed.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for implementing DevOps for APIs/API Deployment/API Management and services.
- Release Manager - To provide new features & ensuring post-release product stability
- Automation Expert - Responsible for achieving automation & orchestration of tools
- Software Developer/ Tester
- Responsible to ensure the quality of the product confirms to its requirement
- Responsible to monitoring the CI/CD product’s security & health
- Research and recommend initiatives in support of PACCAR’s integration infrastructure investment roadmap
- Ensure that the APIs are integrating well with various e-commerce ecosystems, websites, including dealers, suppliers, vendors and customer portals.
- Lead the design and implementation of the enterprise API platform, working with division counterparts to ensure a global solution
- Lead the design and implementation of project-based API solutions in accordance with
- PACCAR standards, the approved integration roadmap and industry best practices
- Monitor each stage of the API product lifecycle.
- Assist the development team in API development according to end-user needs.
- Help with the testing of the functionality, security, and overall performance of the APIs.
- Work with the product teams, engineering teams, development teams, and other stakeholders to create an API strategy.
- Help create a pricing list for digital products and any other technical products by the organization while working with Integrations Architect, business analyst and product owner.
- Develop and maintain an integration component inventory
- Research, develop and oversee integration governance best practices
- Follow the change management procedures and policies
- Provide 24x7 operational support in an on-call rotation and issue resolution

**Required Experience & Skills**
- 7+ years of multidisciplinary architecture experience with a medium to large organization, preferably in a systems architect or similar engineering role, 5+ years of Technical Lead experience desired
- Automating and orchestrating workloads across multiple public cloud providers, automation experience
- Experience working at least one of the following languages: Node.js, Phyton and DevOPS such as Git/Github, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Design and implementation of microservices.
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing enterprise integration solutions using APIs
- Working knowledge of software development methodologies and end-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Familiarized with:

- Container concepts, Orchestration
- Cloud technology, Deployment automation
- Infrastructure automation, Source control, Open-source OS
- Experience in building and launching various APIs, including API-based products and services.
